How to create a business account on Instagram

Instagram is one of the largest social networks at the moment with 2 billion active users in 2022, according to Websiterating.

Normally users share images and videos on this social network, but for some years now companies have also been using this social network to share content and promote their content and have greater visibility.

How to change your personal profile to business on Instagram
Open your Instagram app and go to your profile section (last option in the bottom menu of the app).

Now, click on the button you find just below your bio, where it says “Edit”.

Select the “Switch to professional account” option.

In this new window select the type of professional account you are going to have. In the tab just above the list you can select the option not to display this title in your profile.

As a last step, click on the “OK” option.

Steps after creating your Instagram business account
Your business Instagram account must have:

A username: related to your business. The username on Instagram is identifier in this social network, so it must be unique. The ideal would be to have the name of your business or brand in the username, but as I said, it must be unique in the world.

Name: this is the name that will appear on your Instagram account and you will have no problem putting the one you want. I also recommend that it is the name of your brand.

Profile picture: super important. This is the image that will be displayed on the profile and that people will relate to your brand. Description: in this section we can add a small text that describes or summarizes the content of our brand and/or account.

Connecting your Instagram account with your Facebook Page
